Our Curriculum
We have developed a Values Based Curriculum which focuses on our core values of Resilience, Independence, Aspirations, Empathy, Integrity and Respect. These were identified as the key traits we aspire for our children to leave us with an understanding of and ability to apply within their lives. This curriculum is run on a two year rolling cycle.
Each pathway within our curriculum focuses on different vocabulary which builds towards the more complex language of our values. Each curriculum pathway follows an individual long-term plan, which is then further personalised to the needs of each class and its cohort of pupils.
Our Values Based Curriculum aims to emphasise the importance of personal development and life skills through the hook of key questions and texts. These plans are then further personalised into pathways for our pupils with key, individual targets. These pathways extend from our play-based provision through to our secondary students accessing inclusion. This allows key areas of our curriculum to be expertly tailored to each child’s needs, resulting in fantastic progress, both academically and socially.
